No sissy girls: apparently I have said this or embody this to my clients. I hear story after story about this one. The latest tale came from two clients of mine, Judy and Erika, who decided to undertake the Sandia Crossing, 28 miles across a small mountain range just east of Albuquerque. In the last hour, when they were both ready to be done and would have much preferred to stop, I am told my voice would pop into Judy's head and say..."no sissy girls" and she'd dig deeper. Erika might have been hallucinating but she recalls the little Carolyn fairy dancing around her head telling her to suck it up. I love that!
Always remember it is NOT that you have to be the fastest, the strongest, or the bravest - you just have to be willing to work, work hard, to try, be uncomfortable, learn, gain perspective, and grow!
